Ghosts are visible manifestations of a deceased person or animal.

Ghosts have appeared in many different cultures.

In christian beliefs, orbs of light, a common form for ghosts,

represnt the devil disguised as an angel of light.

In chinese culture, ghosts are sometimes worshipped, but also feared.

In egyptian culture, ghosts represent the continued existence of the soul after

the death of a person. they also have the possibility of assisting or harming

the living. they also have the possibility of a second death.

In popular culture, ghosts haunt either a house, a cemetary, a family.

More often evil than good, these ghosts have appeared in many horror

movies and stories such as The Shining, Pacman, Super Mario, The Flying Dutchman, etc.

Examples of non-evil ghosts incluse Casper, The Three Stooges, The Ghosts in Harry potter, etc.

Most oftenly, ghosts only appear in pictures and just wander around the place.

Some may make noise to annoy the living, some may be harmful, some may warn those

to whom they appear.
